Learning Piano: Where Understanding Meets Physical Practice
Understanding means learning the building blocks of music. This includes things like rhythm, time and key signatures, articulation, dynamics, tempo markings, and how to interpret a piece. Gaining this knowledge helps students not just play the notes, but truly understand and enjoy the music they’re performing.
Physical practice is all about developing the skills needed to play with confidence and expression. Students work on posture, hand position, finger movement, breathing, and more. With regular and focused practice, they build coordination, musicality, and the ability to memorize pieces more naturally and effectively.
