Ella is a professionally trained classical pianist with a lifelong love of music and teaching. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Seoul in South Korea and a Master’s degree from Butler University in Indianapolis. Her training also includes studies with Dr. Annette Burkhart at Washington University in St. Louis and pianist Konstantinos Papadakis at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Ella was a finalist in the 2021 Concerto Competition and won the 2023 Pi Kappa Lambda Competition.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Ella has worked with students of all ages and skill levels. Some of them have gone on to pursue professional music careers. She previously ran her own music school in South Korea, and her students have earned recognition in competitions such as the Concert Artists International Virtuoso Competition, the Indiana Piano Teachers Association Scholarship Competition, and the Indiana State School Music Association.

Ella is also a passionate and experienced accompanist. She served as a choir accompanist for over a decade at the Korean Presbyterian Church of St. Louis and Geist Christian Church in Indianapolis. She frequently collaborates with instrumentalists and enjoys playing for events, recitals, and family gatherings.
